If you search “how to start a workout routine,” you will find a lot of solid advice from reputable sources.

For example, the Mayo Clinic breaks it down into five steps:

  1. Assess your fitness level
  2. Design a program
  3. Assemble equipment
  4. Start
  5. Monitor progress

We are not here to argue with the Mayo Clinic. That is good advice. But for most people, those five steps feel anything but simple.

Most people do not know how to accurately assess their fitness. Even fewer know how to design a program or track progress in a way that actually works. Add in the cost of equipment and the endless opinions online, and it is easy to feel stuck before you ever begin.

What should you buy?
Do you really need that piece of equipment?
Is that supplement actually necessary?

This is where a lot of people get overwhelmed. In fact, many of our current members came to CrossFit Influence after trying to figure it out on their own. Some stalled out. Others quit entirely before finally deciding to ask for help.

Here is the truth.

We want you to start a fitness routine in 2026. Honestly, we want you to start now. Any movement is better than none. A short daily walk is a great place to begin. Do a little more tomorrow than you did today and you will make progress.

But the reality is that most people do not fail because they are lazy. They fail because they are trying to do too much at once without guidance.

So let us simplify things.

Forget steps one, two, three, and five for now.

All you need to focus on is step four. Start.

And starting can be as simple as coming in to talk with us.

We Help You Start and Stick With It

At CrossFit Influence, assessing fitness levels, designing programs, and tracking progress is what we do every single day. You do not have to guess. You do not have to research. You do not have to buy equipment or wonder if you are doing things right.

We handle the planning.
We handle the coaching.
We handle the accountability.

You just show up.

We also believe something important that often gets overlooked. Fitness should be enjoyable. It should feel supportive, not intimidating. Our real superpower is helping people build consistency by making workouts approachable, effective, and even fun.

Trying to do this alone can be frustrating. Think about the last time you tried to assemble something without instructions or the right tools. That is what starting fitness on your own often feels like.

Our job is to remove that frustration and replace it with a clear plan, real coaching, and a community that wants to see you succeed.

The Mayo Clinic is right when they say starting a fitness program may be one of the best things you can do for your health.

You just do not have to do it alone.

If you are ready to start, the next step is simple. Book a time to come talk with us. We will take it from there.
